T his B&B is at the top of the chart. My wife and I have stayed in about 15 B&Bs in Ireland and this is the best one of all. The room was spacious and immaculate and the beds were fine. The en-suite shower was faboulous. It had two main heads with one projecting a mist along with the conventional shower head. six other pulsating, horizontal jets sent water to the back region and it was delightful. The rooms have been recently remodelled and all are first rate. We had a large flat screen TV in our room which was a real plus.

The building is in the north part of Dublin on a bus line and about 2 miles from the airport. The building is well maintained with a large back yard and is on a quiet residential street. Parking via a disc paid for by Avoca house was provided.

I spoke at length with Jack who is an interesting and personable fellow. He is a retired lecturer (akin to a professor) in anatomy at a local college and has published several books. He was very helpful and delightful. I did not have a chance to speak with his wife.

My only regret is that we could not stay there more than one night as our schedule was tight. The Avoca house was comfortable and a great place to stay. It is highly recommended.

W e stayed atAvoca-house for 10days in may 2008. From the very first day we felt the athmosphfer of friendly hospitality . We can only be sorry for them who did the wrong choice, decided to stay at another B&B in Dublin. Avoca-house is outstanding! There is even a little mascot called Mandy. She is a charming little dog. She never disturb the guests if they don`t want her near. Jack,Audrey and Jonathan is a perfect family for running a B&B. We will be back as soon as possible.

w We have just returned from Ireland. Our five day stay at the Avoca House was super. Jack and Audrey made our stay exceptional. Our breakfasts were awesome and the chit-chat and info they provided us was priceless. The rooms were great.

The B & B is conveniently located to Dublin City Center..Just a walk to the bottom of the hill and a ten minute bus ride to the city. In all five of us who stayed there would recommend this as a place to add to your Dublin experience

S pent a very good time there, Audrey and Jack are fantastic people... only because of them it's worth going for it. Rooms good size, very clean and comfy mattresses for a very good sleep (surrounding quiet but only a few minutes from bus stop AND on the way from the airport to the city centre).

Breakfast from Irish to cearal with fresh frut... coffee was very good as well.

Everything was spotless and enjoyable - highly recommendable!

A friend and I stayed at the Avoca House for 10 nights this past month and have only good things to say. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable and incredibly quaint. Jack and Audrey are delightful - helpful, kind, and really quite fun to get to know. We have fond memories of the Avoca House and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, affordable place to stay
